This glazed ceramic vase, with its vibrant yellow and orange hues, resembles a piece of Japanese or Chinese craftsmanship. Its luminous gradient is eye-catching, while its delicate, hand-painted floral motifs in relief, in shades of white and rust, evoke the refined style of Japanese Satsuma pottery.
Its slender neck ends in a wavy collar highlighted with gilding. The base bears ciphered inscriptions, although partially illegible, and the interior of the vase is also covered with a bright yellow enamel.
Two ceramic chips are present under the collar, invisible when the vase is placed.
