CARE OF EBONY OBJECTS:

Food containers

• Before first use, apply a thin layer of mineral oil (paraffin) or suitable vegetable oil (grapeseed, organic coconut) to the inside and outside using a soft cloth. Let it rest.

• After each use: do not immerse in water. Rinse quickly, dry, then apply a very thin coat of oil before storing.

• If the container is not used for a long time, simply polish it with a soft cloth to restore the shine.

⚠️ Absolutely avoid olive oil, walnut oil, or any fruit oil: they go rancid over time. Oils made from seeds or kernels do not have this problem.

👉 Tip: favor dry, non-greasy foods without colouring spices to preserve the beauty and natural grain of the wood.

Vases and decorative objects

• When the wood looks dull, apply a small amount of oil (paraffin, grapeseed, organic coconut) or beeswax, inside and out, with a soft cloth.

• Always remove metal linings before maintenance.

• Allow to dry, then remove the excess with a soft cloth.

• To restore their shine, rub gently with a wool cloth.

Sculptures

• Apply a thin layer of oil from time to time.

• Then polish with a soft cloth to preserve the natural shine of the wood.
