This work is a textile painting, according to the definition given by the visual artist Pascale Goudin-Brisset, who lives in the charming region of the Alpes Mancelles.
The composition evokes a twill weave*, an interlacing of white, red, and black threads, with a central motif inspired by a Japanese kimono, created from fabrics sourced from haute couture collections. Passionate about textiles, materials, and the language of form, the artist plays with fabrics, colors, and textures to create a work where every detail reveals a unique sensibility. The Japanese inspiration, the guiding thread of this creation, is evident in the elegance of the lines and the harmony of the contrasts.
This fabric wall hanging can be stretched and hung on the wall, or suspended freely to serve as a decorative room divider in a spacious interior. A pre-designed opening allows for the easy insertion of a bamboo pole or any other support of your choice.
The artwork is delivered with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, guaranteeing the uniqueness and provenance of the creation.
* Twill fabric is a woven fabric In twill weave: a diagonal ribbed pattern created by interlacing the weft threads (horizontal threads) over and under the warp threads (vertical threads) in a repeated sequence.
