A perfect evocation of the spirit of the 1920s, this Art Deco sculpture plays on the contrasts of green, black, and red veined marble. Balancing balance and boldness, its deconstructed geometric forms are naturally arranged and embody all the refinement of Art Deco design.
On the left, a pelican watches over its golden egg; on the right, a fan opens to reveal its brass heart. In the center, the cavity that once held a clock now houses a metal sphere covered with a yellow gold leaf, a symbol of restored balance.
The whole is in very good condition, the slightly softened corners tell the story of the passage of time.
