This is a unique creation, born from the transformation of a cast iron cow trough into a stylish and original accent lamp. The trough's rounded curve forms a veritable alcove, a protective grotto where the bulb, nestled in its wire cage, diffuses a soft and warm light.

The original openings, formerly intended for the water supply, have been ingeniously reused to carry the electrical wire. Proof of creative and practical upcycling. The lamp is equipped with a dimmer switch, allowing you to adjust the intensity to suit your desired ambiance. The engraved "La Buvette" tab remains movable, a reminder of its agricultural past, while identification numbers engraved in the cast iron add an authentic, raw character to the piece.

The cast iron has been restored and now displays a mottled patina blending fir green and black, highlighting the texture and history of the material. This lamp pays homage to this ancient craftsmanship and is transformed into a functional and decorative contemporary object.

Historically, the production of cast iron drinking troughs began to decline in Europe in the 1950s–1960s, and ceased completely in the 1970s.
